Submitting ideas for Google new favicon isn’t easy, besides that Google logo has been very close to everyone’s heart and mind along these years, also because I didn’t get used to design in such small size. Some designs looks good in minimum 64×64 pixels but once I turn it into standard 16×16 size for favicon, even I myself can’t barely recognize what it is.

Finally I only submit two ideas for Google favicon. These two came from the same idea, adapting the original Google favicon form and combine the whole colors identical to Google, to be the background or be the inside color of the ‘G’ itself. It is made very simple to be easily recognized and remembered.

Changing logo, as the new identity of a brand will always cause a huge wave at first either likeness or dislikes. But as time goes by, as people’s mind and heart get used to it, a majority group between the two responses will automatically formed. Most of the time people get used to it and getting comfortable with the new one. This dillematic circle of responses will continue as the logo being re-designed in the future.

We’ve built Jamit Job Board official site since May 2007 and now they have great web 2.0 style site. Jamit Job Board is a web application for running and managing a Job Board. It is written in PHP and supported with MySQL database. It is a complete script for those who wants to run a professional Job Board website, and you can find jamit features here. Google invite us to make

Google favicon

, the g one is not they favicon final, it was a first step to a more unified set of icons. They needs value feedback from user and want to hear new ideas that they may have missed. Google team tried in total more than 300 permutation. What they wanted are something distinctive and noticeable shape than just a block. Below,what the Google team said in their googleblog, So… we think Steve Jobs and his iPhone the person who make Google must change their Google favicon. ha ..ha..ha.. ha..

The reason is that we wanted to develop a set of icons that would scale better to some new platforms like the iPhone and other mobile devices.

If you have your own notions about the

If you design or create website you must validated the CSS and HTML. You can find the css and html validator from w3c validator. When i used thickbox in my site the css not valid cause thickbox used css3 and the validation use css level 2

I think i must played cheat with this validation cause it’s make me feel sick. I make some modification for the engine for played cheat with this W3C engine.

First I learn what engine that W3C have and if found this on my engine [HTTP_USER_AGENT] => W3C_Validator/1.575 .When i see that i got the point, W3C used custom engine and the call the engine with W3C_Validator . I think i can modified my code and put some code for hide my thickbox.css from this engine.

Google change the favicon. When I saw the google favicon in my browser I feel something wrong with my browser and feel annoying with the favicon. I tried to asked my friend and she got same favicon in the browser.

I got same references for the meaning of this favicon in internet, and found this one

The first time when I saw the new favicon at Google Image Search, I thought there was something wrong with my browser’s cache or I typed an incorrect address. Google’s new favicon is less cheerful and comforting, but it makes a lot of sense: the small g is a symbol for infinity (∞). A googol (10¹⁰⁰) is just a poor approximation for the huge amount of information that needs to be indexed, organized and made useful by Google.
